It's a new dawn and a new day is coming. Hope you are feeling good?

Lindsay here!

Friday again, where did the week go?

The big news for the week is that Scotland moves to Level 2 on Monday the 17th of May!

What does that mean?

  • 6 people from 3 households will be able to meet indoors in each other’s houses.
  • In hospitality settings - such as pubs, restaurants and cafés - groups of up to 6 people from up to 3 households will be allowed to meet, and indoor licenses mean you can enjoy your pint indoors–  perfect when the Scottish Spring Weather still hasn’t made its mind up yet.
  • You get to hug your loved ones, more on that later.

Still not much clarity about live music, sorry Billy, but that doesn’t mean the Dunfermline Music Scene isn’t alive and well.

Billy’s passion for Dunfermline’s creative scene is very infectious, even Tam D is getting excited, sharing this will be front and centre of our plans at Visit Dunfermline going forward.

So back to hugging, are you in the keep your distance camp or are you warming up those arms for Monday?

For me, it is going to be about finding that human connection again. Savouring a meal out with friends and family or “hugging” that Flat White while you watch the world go by.

Whatever your choice, please stay safe and have a wonderful weekend and week ahead, and don’t forget to support local!

Lindsay

P.S. Asking for a friend, can you hug a piece of cake?
