The Summer holidays are here!

Hi it’s Lindsay

The Summer holidays have started, for the next few weeks I will be bringing you a round up of things to do with the family.

Recently, in conjunction with Go Dunfermline,  travel bloggers Kay from The Chaotic Scot and Susanne from Adventures around Scotland explored the best of what Dunfermline and West Fife have to offer.

Both have put together wonderful itineraries to help you explore these fantastic places:

An impressive tapestry, made up of contributions from over 700 people, goes on display at the Dunfermline Carnegie Library on the 5th of July.

It is made up from more than 900 individual miniature woven looms. This community initiative, which celebrates the towns’ rich weaving history, involved adults and school children who made up the many miniature looms.

The HQ Explorer Past-Port is the perfect way for young explorers to join in the fun as you enjoy the heritage sites of the Heritage Quarter. The team at the Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum, put together this great video to tell you more about it:

Hope this gives you ideas to get you started with your local summer adventures.

Until next week
